The Russian River Valley Winegrowers Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 charitable foundation. The purpose of the corporation is to engage in, encourage, and support agriculture education and to carry on other educational and charitable activities related to that purpose, as allowed by law.
Lion's Pride Wine growing and making are steeped in tradition, with winemakers passing on knowledge and expertise from generation to generation, often within the same family. Through the Foundation's unique relationship with El Molino High School, we are creating our own extended family--and our own tradition. Russian River Valley winegrowers and winemakers work with students, training, mentoring and sharing years of experience, with the El Molino vineyard serving as a living laboratory for viticultural instruction. The result? An amazing signature wine, Lion's Pride Pinot Noir. Under the guidance of Merry Edwards in 2004, Bob Cabral in 2005 and El Molino alumnus Lee Martinelli, Jr. in 2007, a very limited quantity of this wine is available each year. Taste the fruits of our labors and support this exciting venture at the same time!
