The Russian River Valley Winegrowers Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 charitable foundation. The purpose of the corporation is to engage in, encourage, and support agriculture education and to carry on other educational and charitable activities related to that purpose, as allowed by law.
One of the exciting projects of the Foundation is the Lion’s Pride Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. A dedicated group of volunteer Russian River Valley winegrowers and vintners have collaborated with the agricultural students of El Molino High School in Forestville to produce two successive vintages of stellar Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. The El Molino High School vineyard serves as a living laboratory for viticulture instruction. Under the winemaking guidance of Merry Edwards in 2004 and Bob Cabral in 2005 a very limited quantity of this wine is available each year.
